January Update

It's great having Ditrick as the Assistant Project Manager - he's on the ball, and keeping me well informed.
Since I left in November, he has accepted three children into the project -- Two boys and a girl, all in primary school. That is Andrew, Kondo and Najuma.
All of the children have returned to school now, after the Christmas break. There are now three boys in boarding at 3 different schools, in Forms 1,2 & 3.
Neema, having finished Form 4, is now staying at a hostel in Dar and taking computer and English. Neema will be our first "Graduate" - the first participant to have started with us as a student and having finished their education, started work for the project. Neema will be our primary staff person on the project for ARV support with will start in the fall.
Ditrick also tells me that the livestock are also doing well - the kid that was born a few minutes before I left in November is now another rambunctious young thing, and our kangas (guinea fowl) have produced 10 chicks.
So our lively project continues, even when I'm not there! Check out lots of new photos in the Gallery section…
