She has work experience in various offices, and came to us through her church. Violet is the supervisor of the caregiving and kitchen staff.

Neema

born 1990 joined July 2008
Neema joined the project as a “special case”: Neema was born HIV positive and was orphaned at age six, then passed around between relatives. Both hearing and sight impaired, Neema was struggling hard to complete secondary school: her uncle had thrown her out, and she was living on the street. Neema is a hard worker and an excellent role model. She is 4ft 6in tall, very quiet, but you can see her smile! Having finished secondary school, (and now sporting glasses and a hearing aid), Neema is attending a computer course in Dar es Salaam, and will rejoin the family as a staff person – our first beneficiary to be in our Graduated Programme!

Ezekia and Libisa

Ezekia (right) and Libisa are our two night watchmen. Joining in early 2010, these two work the 12 hour night shift with our dogs. Unlike the Massai who lived on-site, these folks live close by.
